Are you still remembering with comedian in the era of silent movies Charlie Chaplin? Google celebrates Charlie Chaplin’s 122nd birthday of the popular movie star via Google Doodle. Like what? 


Google Doodle was colored black and white with a figure of close-ups of his face full name of Charles Spencer Chaplin. Interestingly, in the form of video Doodle Charlie Chaplin who was sitting with a dab of paint on the chair and fought with the British police. The video shows the unique and distinctive style of Charlie Chaplin silent.

In The video also shows the Google a woman painted ornament behind Charlie Chaplin’s body. Charlie Chaplin's uniqueness also comes through popular music in the 90s.

Charlie Chaplin was born on April 16, 1889 and died December 25, 1977. Although his birthday tomorrow, when accessed Google.com already displays special Google Doodle. Chaplin using the expression, slapstick and visual comedy as another way of describing comedy than sounds.

Nothing less than a video would have justice in honouring the silent era's greatest star - Charlie Chaplin. The Google doodle team has put up a video honouring the filmmaker and actor to celebrate his 122nd birthday.

The Google home page featured a YouTube video starring members of Google Doodle team enacting a Google-themed Chaplinesque scene. Google put up the Chaplin doodle a day ahead of the film legend's birthday.

Charlie Chaplin was born on 16 April 1889 in London. He began his career in the entertainment industry as a child actor on stage and got into the world of movies when he moved to the United States.

Google Doodles are done to honor an event – a historical persons birthday such aslocomotive engine inventor Richard Trevithick’s 240th earlier this week or the 50th anniversary of manned space flight. But the Doodle on the New Zealand search engine homepage has a picture about Charlie Chaplin.

Chaplin never went to New Zealand and has no family ties to the country. The Doodle is not being shown in nearby Australia or the US or the UK for that matter. So what is Google trying to say with this mystery version of their logo and homepage?

Chaplin grew up in the UK, but made his fame in silent movies in the United States. His movies are classics – The Tramp and The Great Dictator rate amongst the top movies of all time regardless of their silence.

But why is he now part of the Google homepage in New Zealand? I check the news and Chaplin’s coffin and body have not gone missing again. In 1978 people stolen his body coffin and all and tried to hold it ransom. Chaplin’s widow refused to pay saying her husband would have thought it absurd.

Now like the mystery of Houdini – another Google Doodle this year – Charlie pops up.

“I think that certainly what we do is fairly unique,” said Ryan Germick, Google’s Doodle Team Creative Lead told My Central Jersey. “The first Google Doodle was the “burning man’ logo to show that (Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin) were going away.
It’s a tradition that was born out of that, and after users responded well to that, we found a way to … bring it into our company’s identity.”

“We like the serendipity of doodles. If something fun comes up that we think our users will be excited about and that we find really exciting, we (will) run (it),” he said.

So what motivated this one is a mystery to me – perhaps Google or one of my readers can help me solve this one. Or is Google just testing out their new Doodle patent.

Paul McDonald Voted Off "American Idol,"

Hollywood producer Rob Reinerstopped by the "American Idol" set this week (the theme was movie music).

After amusing the kids (and us) with a lyrical version of the "Chariots of Fire" theme, he cut to the chase -- did any of these burgeoning little fameballs have the acting bug?

Half of the contestants -- Casey Abrams, Jacob Lusk, Haley Reinhartand Stefano Langone -- raised their hands to say that yes, they are.

Abrams wanted to know if he can be the next Jack Black, who "acts very well and sings very well."

Reiner said yes. "Why couldn't you be Seth Rogen's younger, bass-playing brother? Why couldn't that happen?"

This is what comes of growing up in a world of Disney-Channel-bred triple threats, we suppose.

But it makes it more of a shame, then, that Paul McDonald, who appears to have no interest in anything but singing, got sent home.

Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone andPaul McDonald, with Paul tapped as the one who had to leave us this week. 

But before we got to the elimination, we had some other highlights:

• Jennifer Lopez came out looking like she's auditioning for Cleopatra in Space.
• Lauren and Scotty performed Lady Antebellum's "American Honey" and it was nice. Lauren handled the girl part with more aplomb than Scotty did the boy part, but he got better as the song went on.
• There was a behind-the-scenes video of the zombie Ford music video, which was actually kinda cool and not annoying, like most of these filler bits.
• Haley and Casey dueted on "Moanin'" and it was pretty awesome. Their voices are very complementary and Haley's hair looked incredible.
• Kelly Clarkson (squeeeee) and Jason Aldean were on hand to perform "Don't You Wanna Stay" and it was lovely. What a wonderful song.
• A mop-top foursome from Liverpool the Soggy Bottom Boys The Folksmen Jacob, James, Paul and Stefano performed "The Sound of Silence"/"Mrs. Robinson" and it was ... yikes. I mean, seriously? Simon and Garfunkel is the call for Gospel, Rocker, Breathy and Broadway? Are you kidding me with this?
• Paul sang us out on our second-favorite performance by him, "Maggie Mae." Fun way to end the night.

BANGALORE, April 15 (Reuters) - Infosys Technologies Ltd , India's No. 2 software services exporter, missed quarterly profit estimates due to higher costs and said its human resources chief would quit the board, knocking its shares down more than 7 percent. 

Bangalore-based Infosys, the first to kick off results for India's nearly $60 billion IT sector, also forecast tepid sales growth for the year ending March 2012.

"Infosys has a history of generally beating market expectations. So, the street is disappointed," said Gajendra Nagpal, CEO of Unicon Financial in New Delhi. "Also, the market may now bring down its expectations from the entire IT pack."

Infosys, founded in 1981 by seven engineers with $250 borrowed from their spouses, reported a net profit of 18.2 billion rupees ($408.5 million) versus 16 billion rupees a year ago.

This compares with a Reuters poll forecast for net profit of 18.81 billion rupees for Infosys , whose clients include Goldman Sachs , BT Group and BP .

Indian technology firms have seen a shake-up in recent months. In January, smaller rival Wipro replaced the chiefs of its key outsourcing business after struggling to keep up with peers. 

Infosys, which boasts higher profit margins versus local and global peers, said its margins could decline this year, mainly due to a volatile local currency.

"Currency volatility continued to be a challenge," chief financial officer V. Balakrishnan told reporters in Bangalore.

Infosys, larger rival Tata Consultancy Services , and No. 3 Wipro have all stepped up hiring in the past few months, reflecting strong demand from clients.

However, a possible appreciation of the rupee and pay increases for employees as they battle the likes of IBM and Accenture for orders and staff, will be key concerns for export-oriented firms.

With IPL Season 4 every one seems to be busy in T20 Cricket fever but people who follow Australia cricket enjoyed a splendid performance by Shane Watson against Bangladesh. His inning of 185 runs in just 96 balls that includes 15 sixes and 15 fours knocked down every bangladeshi baller in their second one-day cricket International in Mirpur.



Watson’s record setting outing was also market by him scoring the most runs from boundaries in a one-day match, and the combination of he and Ricky Ponting (37) totalled 170 – and even more amazingly Watson was NOT OUT. Australia got to 232/1 with 144 balls remaining for one of the most amazing innings in cricket history. About the only thing Bangladesh won was the coin toss yesterday.

Bangladesh batted first, reaching 229-7 for 50 overs. The lead tandem of Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes, got out for 5, being caught by Watson. Teamate Mushfiqur Rahim ended 81 not out, and Shahriar Nafees added 56, but those were the only bright spots in an otherwise dismal day for Bangladesh. It’s funny no one asked what it was like being on the other end of a shellacking like that?

Watson’s amazing feat topped West Indies’ Xavier Marshall, the previous record-holder, who smashed an amazing 12 sixes against Canada in 2008. Watson’s most runs (150) via boundaries broke South African Herschelle Gibbs’ previous record of 126 by 24. Of course, Watson was named “man of the match” – Watson was characteristically humble when talking to reporters about his soon to be legendary feat; “It was a nice day today as everything came off.” A nice day indeed.

Watson started off with a bang in the very first over hitting three fours, and then raced to his half century in only 26 balls. The third and final one day event is scheduled for today at Shere Bangla National Stadium. What will Watson have for Bangladesh today? This has to be on everyone’s mind at the moment. But, from Everything PR News, we congratulate Shane on an astounding effort. WOW – 15 Sixes! That’s up there with Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game.

Shane Watson hit 15 sixes in a career-best 185 not out as Australia played against Bangladesh with a nine-wicket win in the second one-dayer on April 11, 2011. The explosive opener Shane watson gave a superb display of power-hitting as he also cracked 15 fours in his 96-ball knock to help Australia achieve a 230-run target with 24 overs to spare for an unbeatable 2-0 lead. Shane watson completed his sixth one-day hundred off just 69 balls, the third-fastest by an Australia after Hayden (66 balls) and Gilchrist (67 balls). The final one-dayer Shane watson will be played in Dhaka on April 13, 2011 (Wednesday).

Shane Robert Watson is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast medium bowler. He mainly bats as an opener in international cricket, although he does not do so domestically. Watson played in the Indian Premier League for the Rajasthan Royals team. Signed up for US $125,000, he performed well with both the bat and the ball scoring four half-centuries to anchor his team to victory in three matches of the tournament and in the semifinals. He also picked up 17 wickets, won four man of the match awards in his first twelve games and also won the Man of the Series award.

On the back of his IPL performance, Watson was subsequently selected to replace Matthew Hayden in the one day series as part of Australia’s tour to the West Indies, after Hayden had injured himself during the IPL season. Watson went on to establish himself as an ODI opener in the series.

Watson missed the second IPL season due to national duty and injury, and Rajasthan failed to reach the top four in the qualifying rounds. For 2011 season, Rajasthan Royals successfully retained Shane Watson along with the skipper Shane Warne.

Jenn Sterger will be watched by millions of viewers this week on ABC's "Nightline" and "Good Morning America," something that could be seen as a great opportunity for someone trying to revive her career as as a TV host and actress.

ut Sterger says she is just trying to get her life back after being linked to the alleged inappropriate behavior of former NFL quarterback  Brett Favre.

"I just want my life back," Sterger says in the hourlong interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "That's all I'm asking for. Just to be able to go back to work. To be able to go back to enjoying what I do. Entertaining people. Making people laugh. The hardest part about this whole thing is that I am a ridiculous person. I love to entertain people, and to say crazy things. And I'm pretty unapologetic about it."

Sterger is a former New York Jets game hostess who allegedly received inappropriate photos and phone messages from Favre when they were both employed by the team in 2008. NFL investigators were unable to determine if the photos and messages were from Favre and ended the process in December, fining Favre $50,000 for not cooperating with the investigation.

While Sterger has gained a much higher profile from the incident, she says it didn't do her any favors professionally.

“You know, I was trying to go to work. Do my job,” said Sterger, whose gig as a host on the Versus network ended in November. “But how are you supposed to report on the news when you are the news? It was tough. It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. All I wanted to do was go to work. Do my job. That's all I wanted.”

Other highlights from the interview:

-- Sterger insists she isn't a "gold-digger":  "I haven't made a dime off anything in this whole situation. Not from the pictures. Not from Favre. I never wanted to sue anyone. That was never an intention of mine. I'm not a gold-digger. The only way I wanted to make my money this whole time was to just have a job."

-- She says she never gave Favre her phone number: "I was approached one day at the beginning of the preseason games, by a man wearing a Jets badge, employee badge, who asked me, 'How would you feel if Brett Favre asked for your phone number? What would you say?' And I just looked at him, my usual smart-ass self. And I said, 'I'd say I like my job an awful lot. And I've been told I look remarkably like his wife.' "
